Freshness of leaves and being the leaves collected from upper sides has an important influence on the structure of the tea leaves, taste and the properties of brewing. Therefore, the green tea, collected the most fresh and upper leaves, is used in Beta Fancy red OPA tea. Its thick, curved and large leaf structure gives a clear color and a soft and mild velvety tasting that fills the mouth when brewed.

Beta Fancy Red is a kind of tea called as Orange Pekoe A and collected from the low cut garden (450 m - 550 m) in of Ratnapura Sri Lanka.
